In November 2018, my wife and I moved to Patagonia—a land of vast, untamed, and unfamiliar nature. As the only Koreans here, everything at first felt new, overwhelming, and at times even a little frightening.

In 2019, we purchased a piece of land and began building what would later become our hotel.  Through countless challenges, setbacks, and lessons learned, our dream slowly took shape, and Hotel Casa Verde was born.

Today, what once felt like “the settlement of aliens in Patagonia” has become a story we are proud to share with travelers from all around the world.

We personally traveled to Santiago and Punta Arenas to purchase the materials needed for construction, delivering them to local builders as our hotel slowly took shape. To prepare the rooms and facilities, we made many trips to buy bedding, kitchenware, and other essentials - each journey bringing us a step closer to welcoming guests.

After many challenges, the hotel was finally completed. Not long after, the pandemic arrived. It was a difficult time, but we faced it with patience and hope. Today, we are proud to share Hotel Casa Verde with travelers from around the world.

산티아고와 푼타 아레나스를 오가며 호텔을 지었고, 팬데믹을 견뎌낸 끝에 지금은 전 세계 여행자들을 맞이하고 있습니다.

Thanks to Alejandro, Sebastián, and Loreto, who kindly supported our move, and to our neighbor Johan, life here found its stability.

The moments we share with guests of many different nationalities, languages, and cultures are continuing to become a beautiful slideshow of memories in our lives.
